Vermiculite Warning
The EPA estimates 70 percent of vermiculite sold before 1990 came from Libby Montana mines contaminated with asbestos. Treat any vermiculite attic insulation as asbestos until tested.
Pipe Insulation
Gray corrugated pipe wrap from the 1940s through the 1970s is very likely to contain asbestos. Do not disturb if in good condition. Test first.
