Katy's commercial corridor along I-10, Grand Parkway, and Mason Road has expanded dramatically over the past decade. Warehouses, distribution centers, auto service shops, and retail showrooms all need floors that can handle forklifts, foot traffic, chemical spills, and daily cleaning without failing. That's a different spec than a residential garage — and we build it to last.

Commercial Applications We Serve

Warehouses & Distribution

High-build epoxy (60–100 mil) with forklift-rated surface hardness. Line striping and zone marking available.

Auto Shops & Dealerships

Chemical-resistant systems engineered for oil, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and fuel. Anti-slip aggregate where lifts are used.

Retail Showrooms

Decorative metallic or solid-color systems that double as a brand statement. High gloss finish that photographs well for listings.

Restaurants & Kitchens

Seamless, USDA-compliant coatings with coved base for sanitation. Anti-slip broadcast in wet zones. Chemical-resistant against cleaners and grease.

Gyms & Fitness Studios

Polyurea or polyaspartic systems with shock-absorbing rubber broadcast. UV-stable for sun-lit spaces. Easy to disinfect.

Medical & Clean Rooms

ESD (electrostatic discharge) systems and seamless anti-microbial coatings. Low-VOC options for occupied facilities.

The Commercial Installation Process

1

Site Assessment

We evaluate slab condition, existing coatings, traffic patterns, chemical exposures, and moisture vapor emission. Commercial slabs often have more contamination history than residential.

2

Shot Blast & Grind

Commercial prep typically uses a shot blaster (walk-behind or ride-on for large areas) followed by diamond grinding at edges and transitions. This creates the CSP 3–5 profile required for high-build systems.

3

Primer & Base Coat

MVE primer if needed, then 100% solids epoxy base coat applied at 12–20 mils per pass. Multiple passes for heavy-duty applications.

4

Broadcast or Mid-Coat

Aggregate broadcast (quartz, chip, or anti-slip media) or self-leveling mid-coat for ultra-smooth decorative applications.

5

Chemical-Resistant Topcoat

Aliphatic polyurethane, polyurea, or polyaspartic topcoat. Chemical resistance, UV stability, and wear performance are specified based on use class.

6

Line Striping & Curing

Safety lines, zone marking, and stencils applied during topcoat phase. Cure schedule coordinated to minimize operational downtime — many projects complete over a weekend.
