The Woodlands is one of the most successful master-planned communities in American history — 28,000 acres of planned development north of Houston with 14 distinct villages, a town center, and a resident base that consistently ranks among the most affluent in the Greater Houston metro. Garage floor coating demand here reflects that: high-end homes, high-end finish expectations, and homeowners who have already invested significantly in their properties and want a floor that matches.
Woodlands Villages We Serve
Creekside Park
The most recently developed village, with post-2007 slabs in excellent condition. Newer construction, larger homes, 3-car garages common. Premium finish demand: metallic, full-flake, custom zones.
Carlton Woods
Gated luxury community with estate-sized homes. Late 1990s to 2010s slabs. Highest-end finish requests in The Woodlands — custom metallic, multi-zone layouts, showroom quality required.
Panther Creek
One of the original Woodlands villages. Slab vintage from 1970s to 1990s — oldest in the community. Requires thorough prep assessment. Many homeowners doing first-ever floor upgrade.
Alden Bridge
Established mid-1980s village. 2-car and 3-car garages, varied slab condition by build year. Good overall condition in the newer sections; older homes need assessment.
Cochran's Crossing
Mid-1980s vintage. Active community with strong upgrade demand. Decorative chip and solid color most requested finishes. Good access via Gosling Road corridor.
Indian Springs
Mid-1990s village adjacent to George Mitchell Preserve. Good slab conditions for the vintage. Standard 2-car configurations, some 3-car. Solid color and chip both popular.
Sterling Ridge
Early 2000s village with solid slab conditions. Upscale community, premium finish expectations. 3-car garages common. Full-flake and metallic popular.
College Park
Early 2000s community near Lone Star College. Good slab conditions. Mix of family homes and executive properties. Standard to premium finish range.
Sandy Soil vs Clay: What It Means for Woodlands Slabs
The Woodlands sits on a different soil profile than Katy and the Fort Bend County communities we serve to the south and west. Montgomery County features significantly more sandy loam and decomposed granite than the expansive clay soils of Harris and Fort Bend counties. This is actually good news for epoxy installation: sandy soil means lower moisture vapor emission rates on average, less slab movement from clay shrink-swell cycling, and better long-term coating stability.
That said, MVE testing is still part of our standard process for every Woodlands job — particularly in villages near Spring Creek or areas with mature tree canopy that keeps ground moisture elevated. The older Panther Creek and Alden Bridge slabs also warrant extra assessment attention given their age.
