How It Works
Two-part expanding polyurethane foam is injected through five-eighths inch holes drilled in the concrete. The foam expands to fill voids and lift the slab to the desired elevation.
Advantages Over Mudjacking
Foam is 30 to 50 percent lighter than mudjack slurry, reducing stress on weak subsoils. It is waterproof, non-shrinking, and ready for traffic within 15 minutes. Holes are smaller.
Applications
Settled driveways, sidewalks, pool decks, patio slabs, garage floors, and interior floors over crawl spaces can all be lifted with polyurethane foam.
Limitations
Foam cannot address structural foundation problems. If cracking indicates foundation movement rather than void-induced settlement, a structural engineer should evaluate first.
