Sub-Slab Depressurization
The most common and effective method for slab-on-grade homes like most in the Katy area. A pipe and fan draw radon out before it enters living spaces. 90 percent or more reduction typical.
Crawl Space Encapsulation
For homes with dirt crawl spaces, a heavy-duty polyethylene barrier and radon fan create negative pressure beneath it.
Block Wall Depressurization
Used in homes with hollow-block foundations to create suction within wall cavities where radon can accumulate.
HRV Units
In some situations, increased ventilation with a heat recovery ventilator dilutes radon. Less effective than SSD but appropriate in certain cases.
