The install timeline is one of the first things homeowners ask. The short answer for our polyaspartic system: one day. Cars out in the morning, back in that evening or the next morning. Here's the full timeline.
Polyaspartic Install Timeline (Our System)
| Time | Activity |

| 10:00–11:00 AM | Crack filling, joint repair, cleanup |
| 11:00 AM–12:00 PM | Polyaspartic base coat application |
| 12:00–1:00 PM | Full vinyl flake broadcast |
| 1:00–2:00 PM | Excess flake removal, surface prep for topcoat |
| 2:00–4:00 PM | Polyaspartic topcoat application |

Standard Epoxy vs Polyaspartic — Cure Time Comparison
| Polyaspartic | Standard Epoxy | |
|---|---|---|
| Installation time (2-car garage) | 6–8 hours | 6–8 hours (same prep) |
| Walk-traffic safe | 4–6 hours after topcoat | 12–24 hours |
| Vehicle traffic safe | 16–24 hours | 48–72 hours |
| Full cure | 72 hours | 7 days |
Why polyaspartic cures faster: Polyaspartic coating cures by a different chemical mechanism than epoxy — it reacts faster and isn't as temperature-sensitive. In Texas summer heat, epoxy can actually have extended cure issues if temperatures are too high. Polyaspartic's faster cure is chemistry, not magic.
What You Need to Do Before the Crew Arrives
- Move vehicles out of the garage the night before
- Clear all items off the floor (shelving, bikes, boxes on the floor)
- Wall-mounted items (shelves, cabinets) can stay
- Ensure the crew has access to a water source and power outlet
